Brief introduction:Jing Bao was first issued on October 5th, 1918. It was established by Shao Piaoping and Pan Gongbi in Beijing as a four-page daily newspaper focusing on reports regarding politics and war, with a clear anti-imperialist and anti- warlord stand. On April 26th, 1926, Shao Piaoping was executed by shooting and Jing Bao was forced to close on its 2275th issue. It was resumed in 1929 and published a special edition commemorating 3 year anniversary on Shao’s death. Jing Bao was eventually closed in July, 1937 after the “July 7th Incident”.
