Brief introduction：Wen Wei Po was a newspaper with years of history, which was first issued in Shanghai in January, 1938 by Yan Baoli, Hu Xiongfei, Xu Chihen, Shen Binhan, Fang Bofen. After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, Wen Wei Po was forced to close out on May 24th, 1947 due to the fact that National Government was unhappy about its clear anti-civil-war attitude. On September 9th, 1948, the newspaper was resumed in Hong Kong with the help from supportive patriots. The newspaper was also resumed in Shanghai after liberation, which lead to the parallel co-existence of two Wen Wei Po today.
